Does my tree have to be removed?
At Linger’s, we understand the difficult decision homeowners face when a tree must be removed. Sometimes the decision is not an obvious one and our experts are always available to help you decide.
Consider the following:
- If the tree is causing damage – If dead branches are in danger of falling on your house or property, or the root system is compromising your foundation, basement, a sidewalk or driveway, it should be removed.
- If the tree is detracting from your use or enjoyment of your property – You can’t use your backyard or build a deck, or there is no place to construct a shed or garage, removing the tree would be best.
- If the tree has become so large as to interfere with power lines or it is threatening your home or a neighbor’s property, we will advise removal.
- If the tree is diseased or damaged, cannot be treated and is in danger of falling or spreading the disease to other trees, it should be removed.
We will always look for ways to save your tree if that is your wish, advising removal as the last option. Sometimes building plans can incorporate a tree on your property, and sometimes our crew can save a damaged tree through pruning or cabling.
